which stands for Order of the Phoenix, just in case.
well.
so back in around february, while i was still in the philippines, i had this brilliant idea of switching to contact lenses. i had this crazy imagination of my eyes and my nose slowly being distorted due to the weight of my glasses (i have rimless, wire-frame glasses by the way, yes, not heavy at all). and honestly really, i am that vain. the only reason why i didnt want to use contact lenses in the first place is because i found it rather.. uh.. scary, to be poking your eyes like that (its an eyeball fercryinoutloud). well anyway, i gathered up my courage and gave it a shot. i said to myself, “you have got to face your fears marco, if you cant do this, what more the other more frightening things in life? like.. needles/injections.. or.. that wooden thing the doctor puts in your tongue and tells you to say ‘aaah’… yeah, that one? you can do this man!”. i am quite the encourager.
its a funny story, really. that time when i asked them to prescribe me the right lenses. in summary though, coz i still have the apple store and harry potter to talk about, the person teaching me how to put them in got really really irritated coz it was taking me forever to put them in. they were used to people taking a long time, but me? hahahaha. i took a long time. let’s leave it at that.
so when i finally got my box, the contact lens solution was in it – which meant i could start putting them on already. so i have been trying the past few weeks, about 20-30mins at a time. i cant really say how many times ive tried before. but today.. i finally got it in! (woohoo!) one of them at least. ironically, i would always practice with my right eye, but one try of putting it in my left eye.. then poof! it disappeared! for the longest time i thought it just fell to the floor or somewhere. i mean, it couldnt be in my eye. not on the first try. i did feel something in my eye though, but i was confused if it was really there or its just my imagination (for those who know me well, know that when it comes to these things, i kinda freak out). wow.. this is getting long.
well anyway, since i had no idea if it was in or not, i just assumed it was not in. my eyesight? i cant really tell, it did fix it a bit, but not completely. but what finally gave it away was when i put on my glasses, after a few minutes, i start to get dizzy.. like my grade has been messed up. that was the sure sign i did have my lenses in my left eye already.
argh, the apple store and OotP will have to wait.
so now i have both contacts in, and i will be trying to take them off, like right now.
best of luck to you dude!
(thanks man!)
