on bravery

October 31st, 2008

There are many different kinds of bravery. There’s the bravery of thinking of others before one’s self. Now, your father has never brandished a sword nor… nor fired a pistol, thank heavens. But he has made many sacrifices for his family, and put away many dreams.

Where did he put them?

He put them in a drawer. And sometimes, late at night, we take them out and admire them. But it gets harder and harder to close the drawer… and he does. And that is why he is brave.

why we should keep on blogging

October 27th, 2008

A while back, I encouraged JC that he should keep on blogging. I also encouraged Yuklid to do the same. Heck, you know who you are – you should keep on blogging! every day!

Psalm 96
1 Sing a new song to the Lord!
Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
2 Sing to the Lord; praise his name.
Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
3 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

publish His glorious deeds among the nations!

hehehe, keep on publishing!

Tadano Genki: senpai! good moooorning!
Katai Teruo: oi, why is your suit all messed up?

Tadano Genki: hmm, yesterday i played soccer with some kids by the river

Tadano Genki: i went home tired, so i went straight to bed without changing (and also came to work as is, ahaha)
Katai Teruo: dumbass

Katai Teruo: a businessman takes care of his appearance. having a worn-out suit is simply out of the question. proper care is a must.

Tadano Genki: ………

Tadano Genki: im sorry, how should suits be taken care of again? (is it bad to use the washing machine?)
Katai Teruo: ………

an interesting night

October 22nd, 2008

interesting might not be the best word for it. can’t disclose the details because its too early to say. i thought life was okay for me and nicole… but from the looks of it, things can be even better! all i can say is, i am not worthy of all this. i really do believe in grace – being blessed even when you dont deserve it. thank you. i am at awe. can’t wait to see what you have in store : )

discipline/self-control

October 22nd, 2008

A person without self-control
is like a city with broken-down walls.

Proverbs 25:28

*i actually have a lot of other things to write about. but this proverb is just too good to pass up. pretty much self-explanatory ey? a city without walls is easily conquered.
