Rule wo Mamorimashou!

December 12th, 2008

Document Seiri* is a pain in the oshiri*. Seriously.
Especially if it’s somebody else’s documents.

Mark my words blog, starting from my next project, all documents will be properly named and stored in it’s proper place. No exceptions. You name it the right way or I won’t accept it. Everybody needs follow the freakin’ naming rule and database location. And sheesh, submit all your deliverables man!

I think this is karma for all my years of being untidy, lazy and unorganized. Now I’m getting a feel of what it’s like on the receiving end. It sucks, but it’s a good lesson. I think. Thankfully, my lovely wife has been very patient in teaching (training?) me in “putting things back in its place”.

If this keeps up, I might actually have a chance to be a good PM.

and/or a scary, kibishii one.

Gaaaah. My head hurts.

*Mamoru: 守る: keep, protect, follow, observe, obey
*Seiri: 整理: collecting, compiling, arranging, organization
*Oshiri: おしり: butt
*Kibishii: 厳しい: strict, severe

Lessons Learned for 12/10/2008

December 10th, 2008

Nasermonan nanaman ako today. Well, makes sense naman.

  • The work you’re doing now, do it 3x faster.
  • It’s never “Not My Responsibility” (even if it’s true).
  • Understand first, then Do.
  • Make sure everything is complete.
  • Don’t leave questions in waiting mode
  • Don’t ask stupid questions. THINK.

I think there’s more. Pero ito muna. Para lang siguro maalala ko.

(edit) I remembered one more

  • E kaya naman gawin ng grade school yung ginawa mo.

In other words, I need to do better.
