Today – March 27, 2009 – marks the start of my 100day countdown to this year’s July 2009 JLPT exam. Woohoo. I am so stoked with this particular exam because – 今回は絶対負けない!I can’t (afford to) fail again! Taking, and failing, the same level THREE times is just… sad!
So July 5 2009 is the date, and here’s how I’m preparing for it
I realized that to nail Level 2 all I really need to focus on is my Vocabulary. Kan-freakin-Ji. There’s a LOT of them. According to the guys who make the JLPT exam, by Level 2 one should have a mastery of 1000 kanjis and 6000 words (!).
That’s a lot of words. Think about it this way: If I’m starting from Zero, I need to learn and memorize 48 words PER DAY non-stop all the way till exam day. This way I have an 80% chance the words I memorized will come out on the exam. Thankfully, because I’m not starting from zero, I don’t have to learn 48 new words per day… only 40 words per day.
O_O
This should cover the Vocabulary Part of the test. Add this to the Listening Part, which is usually my strong point, this should be enough to pull up my points in the Grammar and Reading Part.
No wait, maybe not.
Hmm. Grammar, grammar. How do I study grammar.
